Marvic, Inc., a local manufacturer of laminated wood sunrooms announced today that it is expanding into new markets including Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia. Operating under the name “Brady-Built of New England”, Marvic has been manufacturing modular sunrooms in Auburn for distribution throughout New England. With the business expansion well underway, Marvic has launched a new web site
(Sunrooms by Brady) and will begin operating under the name “Brady-Built Sunrooms”.

Brady-Built is well known throughout the area for the beautiful solid wood interior sunrooms and conservatories that they manufacture in Auburn and then ship to the installation site complete. Changes on June 1, 2009
As part of The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 the energy tax credit rules will become more stringent.The new rules require that all windows and doors have a U value of 0.30 or less and a solar heat gain coefficient of 0.30 or less. Both values are difficult to achieve with the glass that has been used by most window and door manufacturers.The new glass that the act requires is more expensive to manufacture and will affect the price of products using it. We will continue to offer the best sunrooms in the business with the best overall energy performance, but like our competitors, will need time to convert over to the new standards.Until then, be sure to verify the energy performance of your windows when placing your sunroom order after June 1, 2009 if you plan to apply for the energy tax credit.
