Enjoying Sunrooms in the Fall: It’s the little things…

The leaves in fall are beautiful!Sunrooms aren’t just for summer! Just because the summer heat has faded does not mean you need to close your sunroom. You may not be relaxing with the windows open any more, but don’t let that stop you. Here are a few small ways you can keep enjoying your sunroom even as the days get chillier.

Redecorate! Get ready for the change in seasons by adding new autumn themed items to your sunroom. Orange pillows, yellow lampshades – bring in the colors of fall for an elegant seasonal style. Show it off with a tea party and serve classic autumn desserts like pie!

Autumn arts and crafts. Collect the prettiest leaves, bring them indoors, and get creative! Kids love leaf crafts and the results can often be amazingly beautiful.

Bring out the candles. As the nights are getting longer, the days are getting shorter and the sun is setting earlier! All this newfound darkness is a great time to enjoy a good candle. Stay-at-home dates are easy –it’s easy to enjoy a romantic candlelit meal for two. Pick your favorite scents and soon you won’t be able to stay out of your sunroom!

For Halloween enthusiasts, a word to the wise: you may want to think twice before hosting any kind of Haunted Sunroom… With all those windows made of glass, you might not want to deliberately scare anyone in that particular room!
