Growing plants indoors means you won’t have to worry about pests interfering with your crops so much. As you can imagine, the wonderful scents from these plants can truly enhance any sunroom, not to mention save you a couple bucks at the grocery store! How can I get the most out of my sunroom?

With any investment like a sunroom, you want to be sure you are making the best decisions possible to get the most bang for your buck. Here are a few tips on how to accomplish just that:

1. Make sure you install it in a sunny spot. Sunrooms are meant to let in light, but they can’t if you install yours on the dark side of your house! Here in the northern hemisphere, the sunniest side of the house is usually the southern side, while the northern side stays mostly in the shade. If the south side of your home has no room for a sunroom, consider installing the addition on the east side if you are a morning person and enjoy the sunrise, or on the west side if you’d like to enjoy beautiful evenings and sunsets.
